প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সহকারী শিক্ষক নিয়োগ পরীক্ষা এপ্রিলের মাঝামাঝি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা সচিব আকরাম আল হোসেন।

তিনি বলেন, ১৫ এপ্রিল থেকে প্রাথমিকের সহকারী শিক্ষক নিয়োগ লিখিত পরীক্ষা আয়োজন করতে প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা অধিদফতরকে (ডিইপি) নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে। এবার আবেদনকারী বেশি হওয়ায় তিন-চার ধাপে পরীক্ষার আয়োজন করা হবে। দেশের অনেক বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষক সঙ্কট রয়েছে। এ কারণে ‘সহকারী শিক্ষক নিয়োগ-২০১৮’ পরীক্ষা শেষ হওয়ার

আগে প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা উন্নয়ন (পিইডিপি-৪) প্রকল্পের আওতায় নতুন করে প্রাক-প্রাথমিক ও সহকারী শিক্ষক নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হবে।

ডিপিইর মহাপরিচালক এ এফ এম মনজুর কাদির বলেন, প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ পরীক্ষার জন্য ওএমআর সিট তৈরির কাজ শেষ হয়েছে। বুয়েটের তত্ত্বাবধানে তা তৈরি করা হয়েছে। ১৫ এপ্রিল থেকে নিয়োগ পরীক্ষা শুরুর চিন্তা-ভাবনা করা হচ্ছে। চলতি সপ্তাহে নিয়োগ পরীক্ষা আয়োজক কমিটির সঙ্গে ডিপিইতে সভা হবে। সে সভায় পরীক্ষা-সংক্রান্ত চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত হবে।

৪০তম বিসিএসের প্রিলিমিনারি পরীক্ষা আগামী ৩ মে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বলে জানিয়েছে সরকারি কর্ম কমিশনের (পিএসসি) চেয়ারম্যান মোহাম্মদ সাদিক। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার কমিশনের এক বিশেষ সভায় এ সিদ্দান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।

৪০তম বিসিএসে আবেদন করেছেন ৪ লাখ ১২ হাজার ৫৩২ জন প্রার্থী। এ পর্যন্ত পিএসসিতে এত বিপুল পরীক্ষার্থী আবেদনের রেকর্ড তৈরি হয়েছে। মোহাম্মদ সাদিক বলেন, ‘কীভাবে পরীক্ষাটি সুষ্ঠুভাবে নেওয়া যায়, এ জন্য আমরা কাজ করছি।’

গত বছরের ১১ সেপ্টেম্বর ৪০তম বিসিএসের বিজ্ঞপ্তি প্রকাশ করে পিএসসি। ৪০তম বিসিএসের আবেদন গ্রহণ শুরু হয় ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে। এই বিসিএসে মোট ১ হাজার ৯০৩ জন ক্যাডার নিয়োগ দেওয়া হবে। তবে এই সংখ্যা আরও বাড়তে পারে। ক্যাডার অনুসারে প্রশাসনে ২০০, পুলিশে ৭২, পররাষ্ট্রে ২৫, করে ২৪, শুল্ক আবগারিতে ৩২ ও শিক্ষা ক্যাডারে প্রায় ৮০০ জন নিয়োগ দেওয়ার
